As a black senior professional, we often hear about the need to tackle diversity and inclusion and as a result, there is lots of focus on gender or age. What we do not hear about is the focus on race, why there is a lack of black people at board level, and how organizations can and need to improve their infrastructures for more people of colour to be successful.
During our virtual conversation, I will take you on my journey of being a senior black HR professional who has worked globally and prominently in London and Amsterdam and highlight subtle differences around culture and perception, which ensure people of colour only reach a certain level, and signpost where we as HR professionals can make a change in how organizations move away from racism.
